About Lake Mary Cancer Center and DDU
To support the growing need for patient care in Orlando with expanded clinical trial access and research opportunities, Optimal Outcomes was selected by Florida Cancer Specialists (“FCS”) to provide full development services including design, permitting, and construction for the Lake Mary Cancer Center and Drug Development Unit. The facility is a two-story 24,000 SF located just off of I-4, on Currency Circle in Lake Mary, FL, and houses suites for Medical Oncology, PET, administrative space, and a strategic research site for the Sarah Cannon Research Institute; one of the leading clinical trial organizations in the world.
The new facility was built using EBD (Evidence-Based Design) to improve the quality, convenience, and delivery of healthcare from providers to patients. This includes increasing operational efficiencies, reducing patient stress, and improving overall patient/provider experiences.
