About Estero Cancer Center

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (“FCS”) sought out Optimal Outcomes to expand their patient services in support of the growing need for comprehensive cancer care within the City of Estero. Optimal identified and acquired the site and provided full development services including design, permitting, and construction for the new facility. The solution – a 16,000 SF state-of-the-art cancer center, situated on 8440 Murano Del Lago Drive, Estero, FL 34135; bringing the fight against cancer closer to home for the patients in Lee County.

The Estero Cancer Center houses 12 exam rooms, PET/CT, lab, provides patients with access to enhanced clinical trials, and an infusion center with 36 chemotherapy chairs, complimented with slated wood ceiling treatments for a calming aesthetic.

To maintain a local community feel on the exterior, the freestanding facility embraces a Mediterranean design with low-pitched, terra cotta tile roofs, inspired by the surrounding town. The atrium incorporated in the facade creates a twist of modern design and will actively reclaim natural light into the facility to provide the highest quality of healthcare to the community, proven through Evidence-Based Design (“EBD”).

EBD is about creating better buildings through the knowledge and application of proven best practices identified through the collection and sharing of knowledge learned in the planning, design, and construction phases. Ultimately, the 16,000 SF cancer center will not only improve the quality, convenience, and delivery of healthcare from providers to patients, but it will also reduce patient stress, include innovative operational efficiencies, and enhance overall patient/provider experiences.
