Tampa Cancer Center Recognized Worldwide

An international gathering of prominent Healthcare Professionals, Hospital Executives, Architects, Consultants, Developers and Contractors met in Orlando this year for the annual Healthcare Design Conference sponsored by The Center for Health Design and the American Institute of Architect Academy of Architecture for Health. Attendees come from the US and abroad to meet, learn and discuss the newest trends in healthcare design, advancement, technology and implementation.

This year Optimal Outcomes, a St. Petersburg Healthcare Development firm, and their most recent Cancer Center was selected out of hundreds of facilities in Florida for an exclusive tour. The Tampa Cancer Center, located near Raymond James stadium adjacent to One Bucc Place, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers conduct football practice, and across from St. Joseph’s Hospital on MLK Jr. Blvd is occupied exclusively by Florida Cancer Specialists. It is a 36,000 sq. ft. facility offering state-of-the-art medical treatment including PET/CT diagnostic imaging, a 55-seat medical oncology and radiation therapy, molecular diagnostic laboratory, 30 patient exam rooms, hematological pathology and research facilities. It also boasts a 25 ton Varian linear accelerator, one of the most advanced cancer treatment options available.

The tour of Optimal’s latest Cancer Center was not only oversubscribed by attendees, but was also the top choice for a delegate of 25 China-based medical professionals and executives visiting the area for the conference. This is Optimal’s third full treatment cancer center in Florida, and they look forward to doing more as the need for such facilities continue to grow.

Brad Prechtl, CEO of Florida Cancer Specialists and an acknowledged industry expert stated “I’ve been in healthcare for over 20 years and bar none, I think this is the most state-of-the-art, best facility I have seen.”
